Hey all, I’m hoping someone can help. I’m battling the blinking 4hi issue. I pulled the transfer case 4hi actuator which was rusted solid. Went ahead and replaced the motor only with success, I can now hear the actuator switching, but was still getting the blinking 4hi light when turning the dial to 4hi. No blinking in 2wd

Soooo, today I drain the front diff and pulled the front diff actuator which I believe was toast also. Installed the new one, filled with new fluid (like an idiot before trying it) and am getting the 4hi light quickly flashing whether I’m in the 2wd, 4hi, or 4lo. Does anyone know if the yoke/gear position matters when installing. It was pushed towards passenger side when I installed. I’m guessing this may be the issue but would love to hear from someone who actually knows.

I’ve read thru a ton of these threads but haven’t found any info.

Make sure the bigger gear that the motor is going to is in the correct position. I had the same issue with my tundra and I was able to clean up the motor and gear and put new grease in .

Ok thanks. Barely had any time to play with it yesterday but played around just a tad. The electrical connector on the add actuator was not fully clipped in. I really hoped that would solve it but now I’m back to no lights flashing when in 2wd but get the flashing 4hi when I change the selector to 4hi. I can hear the TC actuator turn when I move to 4hi but then get a beeping sound from that area. Anyone know what that means? Im going to try to tear into the front again and maybe sure the yoke is seated on the axle ring/gear. Still the same question, does anyone know if that ring/gear needs to be to one side or the other when replacing the add actuator?
