My truck needs a new transmission and I've found a good deal on a rebuilt A750E but it came out of a 4Runner. Can I easily put it in my Tundra? How can I find out for sure if they are or not?

(Below is a picture of the tag on the trani out of the 4Runner.)

    Thanks!

ehh. im not sure of any internal differences. the only major thing i can think of being potentially an issue is the wiring inside the transmission? and if the transmissions from a v8 you'll need the bellhousing from your old one

Yeah, I was wondering if I need to swap the bellhousings. I'm guessing I should be able to do that without any serious problems. What is the issue with a difference in wiring? Are the harnesses not going to match up?

2WD? You might be OK. 4WD, not so much.

Not sure honestly. The internal harness to the transmission is likely the same Pin put. But you may want to double check wire diagrams or part numbers to be sure

    I don’t think they made 2wd v8 4Runners so you probably won’t have to swap bell housings since you’ve got a 4.0
