Let say, hypothetically, you were in between the options of doing a 3.0 or 2.5 w/ 2.5 or 3.0 secondary bypasses on a MIDtravel set up.

Its a 2021 4wd - Currently its on 2.5 Kings on all four corners with 37" but looking to get some more dampening and smoother ride when i'm going faster than I should down trails.

Im set on the rears with Camburgs shock relocation kit.

Other than the cost, this truck is also a daily so been shying away from LT with added cost of fenders and axles.
    Any inputs?

Big heavy 37’s doing rapid articulation? Hoop it and double 2.5s with resis. Or 3.0 with resi if that’s too wild. Hearing great things about the 8112s if you’re not all in on King.

Leaning torwards hooping it (also because it looks cooler). But any reason to not go with a singular 3.0 C/O instead?

Single, properly setup 3.0 with bypass on a tundra will likely ride better and perform as well or better than the double setup. Doubles without proper tuning and setup will be rough on most rigs. Doubles will be $$$

Bigger is better, and if you have to pick one a bigger bypass is better. Twin 3.0s or a 2.5 coilovers with a 3.0 bypass. For mid travel I'd do a 2.5/3.0, but I'd put money into long travel first instead of dumping that much coin on so little travel.

We are assuming you have Lower arms with secondary shock mounts, correct? Keep the 2.5" as your coil carrier, the bypass shock will do all of the work and be as smooth or as firm as you need it to be.
Bypasses are the real deal, don't have to remove to adjust and lots of fine tuning.

I don't disagree, this much $ on suspension is deep into LT territory. Mid-Travel is still cheaper and mostly bolt on even with bypasses on all 4 corners once you factor in the cost of fabrication and rear end parts (bed cage?).
Perhaps OP want's to keep the stock width? Tundras are pretty wide as it is.

What about a 3.0 with an air bump backup?

So you can actually weld on secondary bypass lower mounts on stock LCA - i think Icon's hoop kit uses stock LCA. Called Total Chaos and I think they also have seperate lower mounts that can be welded on. Heard from them that the stock LCA is also strong enough for it.

Thanks for backing up on not going LT - at this point adding fiberglass and new CV is another cost - I think ill be happy with tuned shocks on mid-travel

Just get it fabbed. There is a can to hold it and a plate can be cut to fit it onto the frame
