My truck is at the dealer getting the cruise control sensor adjusted for my 37s. $450

I asked to test drive a 1794 Hybrid.

    Positives:
It’s pretty quick off the line, but it’s a pickup not a sports car so this is kind of a neutral.

    Negatives:
Wind noise in the driver’s side window
    Insanely bad throttle lag
    Bed is squeaking already
Radio knob fell off during the test drive - LOL
    Price - LOL

$77,500 plus $1595 in “options” plus $895 fee plus 7% sales tax That’s ridiculous.

You would get at least twice that on the open market. Drive it until the wheels fall off.

That makes me feel a whole lot better about the deal I got for my '23 1794. $10k less OTD with no trade-in. One great thing about South Carolina is they cap sales tax on vehicles to $500. It used to be $300.

For them to be able to calibrate your sensor is something to say. The dealer near my home wants nothing to do with suspension work.

Trade in values have dropped a ton recently. If you have a 22 you get hit with the another newer model year drop along with the overall market correction.

My dealer gave me trade in on my 22 at the 10k service 6 weeks ago. $17k less than I paid. KBB was actually higher. But market corrections are occurring. Every dealer of all makes are flush with new trucks again and the $10k off stickers are back with the big 3. So there are options to paying some hyper inflated price for a used vehicle these days

If there were people paying $10 to $15 K over MSRP then there are more out there. Point is offering the guy $19.5K is an insult.

    That's a shame.

I'm sure the low trade-in has something to do with your 37" tires, other mods, and the beating your truck has taken. I got $20K trade-in for my completely stock 2015 1794 with 140K miles on it. It was in excellent condition. I did pay full MSRP for my '23 1794, but that's what all the dealers were getting in my area at the time.

KBB says otherwise assuming USD but agree to disagree.

High mileage and custom add on is probably why they offered 19k. Before I trade my 2018 VW Atlas I removed all the custom stuff I put on over the year to just stock. I got 20k for it, even with all the dings, rust and chipped paint.

Hard to find a 2020 or 2021 for that for sure. But then again, we all know why.

Found a couple close. Both very low miles and wrecked. Your 100k+ miles is what’s killing the value. That’s the same number of miles a 5-8 year old truck would have.

I still don’t understand why he’s selling. Or why he wouldn’t go back to a 2.5G. Gotta have something to beat the hell out of. Why a 1794?
