I only use Eco on the highway in cruise. Normal everything else typically but Sport when feel like having fun or on ramps.

Just switched to normal mode with 1050 miles on the truck. Feels more responsive. I like it.

I drive mostly in comfort. however, when I need to move, I drive in sport plus. I do not see a major difference in mpg driving in different modes. unless I am really on the throttle.

Is there a way to have it stay in sport mode??? Pain to have to constantly switch the drive mode every time I turn on the truck.

most car brands will revert back to normal mode once you shut off the vehicle. All about fuel economy and prolonging the life of the vehicle.

What is “comfort” mode? Is that new for the 23s as opposed to 22?

As soon as I start my truck Start/stop gets turned off and tow haul + gets turned on. Combined with the JB4 makes the truck really wake up and it’s night and day difference. Totally worth the money IMO.

I was in Eco only for 2k miles. Last tank tried normal only and gas mileage did dive a little over 1 mpg in similar route plan. I could tell little difference in how it performed but I am not Nascaring on the road either. The HVAC blows harder and cools better Could run it 1-2 degrees higher than with Eco.

I don’t know about previous years, but I noticed significant acceleration differences between the three.
in Eco I never hear the turbo in normal I sometimes do and in sport it engages quite often.
    I am in 4 x 4 I use sport almost exclusively, unless I’m towing.
I don’t really notice much of a gas mileage difference, but I am heavy footed regardless so the math is going to be very insignificant because of the way I drive I’m sure.
as far as what the AC issue goes, I don’t know, but Eco mode doesn’t seem to cool the truck as well but maybe it’s just me because I read that before I even got my truck and it’s all in my head. But I am in Texas and I got my truck after the hottest months were over so I guess I won’t really know until after the winter is over.
I do notice that this truck has a ton of towing power, and I barely noticed a trailer is even behind me using two different modes

Normal for me. Works, no complains. Eco and the pedal lag are more pronounced in that mode so I really dont bother.

    Normal.

I have used Eco and I don't notice any difference in gas mileage.

Always comfort with 38lbs of air. The AVS with air suspension is a dream. Best ridding truck I've had even with 1000lbs of cargo.

I did 750 miles in a sitting from NC to Ft Lauderdale this week. Really, really well sorted truck. The turbos and the trans are so well tuned together there's a great cruising spot at 75-80MPH and I got 21MPG. One stop for fuel.
So much better on the road than previous powertrains.
I had wondered if I should have bought an AT4 but the latest trip supported that I made the right decision.

ya agreed, I got over 20 for the first time ever in a tundra even on winter blend coming back from IN a week or two ago.

I also test drove the AT4, not even close to comfort of the tundra, especially the seats, HAH. @DrZoidberg

If you’d like to use your chiropractor benefits on your health plan get the AT4.

I don't care for Eco mode at all. Way to sluggish feeling. I use Normal about 95% of the time, unless I'm towing. Sport mode is fun, but it's almost too responsive for me. That's probably because I've gotten used to the throttle response of Normal mode. In Sport I often forget to feather the throttle a little, so pulling away from stops turns into a neck snapping launch.

It’s reassuring to hear you say that. I still think the AT4 is better looking but it came with tires that roar, a still suspension and a bed that is enough higher it’s harder to load. I could mod my away to success but then there’s the small gas tank. A great looking truck though.

I mostly use comfort mode on the HWY & on the secondary roads to but if the volume is light on the secondaries it's Sport+ mode.
And with the CAI and sport+ mode you can really hear the turbos spooling up.

and a stupid shifter you have to push a button to put in Park, I kept going into reverse on the test drive moving it forward, you know, like all other vehicles in existence , lol.
