I just want some opinions on the noise im hearing. It happens at about 1100-1500rpm when hot and cold. I used a stethoscope and could hear a ticking in the AC Compressor and front of the block. it wasnt a rhythmic tick but it was consistent. Any help would be appreciated

And by belt tensioner, he means chain tensioner. The 5.7 definitely has a timing chain and not a belt. I would not delay in getting this looked at. A member recently had a complete engine failure believed to be caused by timing chain tensioner.

It ended up being a chain tensioner. I did it in my garage over the course of a 4 day weekend. It’s honestly not too terrible if you’re somewhat mechanically inclined
