LOL yeah, that'd stop me from going.

First time I took mine, I asked if I could watch. Not only did they say "Sure" but they got me a chair AND gave me coffee and a doughnut. LOL! I had no issues w/trust after that - and I occasionally check, but they've done me right 100% of the time. :)

    None....
Sounds like tech didn't put it back together right. Them sending you away after only clearing the code is BS. They should recheck their work and fix their mistake. It's sensing a leak in the fuel tank area and that's exactly where they took everything apart.

Honestly why are people so lazy. It like a roofing company installing a new roof. Then it rains and there is water leaking into the house. And when you ask them to fix it they just wipe the water off your floor and say, you should be good call me again if its still leaking.

I also wish people would post dealer name and employee names so we can avoid them because their so lazy they refuse to do their job.

Also P.S. they don't get paid for fixing their poor work, so they will try to find a way to warranty the work that way tech/ service advisor gets paid twice and the customer thinks it's a bad part not bad work.

I had the same problem after the Magnuson install. Same codes. It was a loose evap hose…

edit: evap hose on the fuel tank…

I understand your frustration but you shouldn't have a knee/jerk reaction when it comes to vehicles. Your dealer is the problem. It's obvious that when they change out the pump that they created the evap problem. Find another dealer. It terms of reliability you did pick the right vehicle. Switching now to a Ford, Dodge or GM would not be a wise choice.

I will add something that you probably didn't know. The evap system on Toyota vehicle does a self check by using a vacuum pump to draw the tank and lines into a vacuum state. The system then monitors the vacuum to check for a leak. If the vacuum falls or fails to see a vacuum present (gross leak) it will set a code. The vacuum test will only happen when the temperature is above freezing and the truck is off. Sometimes you can hear the test happening if you park in a quiet area. If the codes are cleared you won't see the code return untill the evap test is performed.
