2006 Tundra. The high beams indicator LED diode that is soldered to the instrument gauge cluster circuit board has burnt out, and I'll need to disassemble the cluster and solder a new LED on to fix it I believe. I cannot find any info on the forums about what part number or specific type of generic LED diode I need to order before I undertake this endeavor.

Anyone know where this can be found? All of my googling only turns up people changing the colors of their dashes by sanding off the green, and I cannot find a single person who's ever talked about having on the LED diodes burn out. I guess I'm just lucky.

EDIT FOR SOLUTION: THIS WAS CAUSED BY LED HEADLIGHT BULBS INSTALLED BY PRIOR OWNER. THEIR LOWER RESISTANCE TRICKS THE CIRCUITRY INTO THINKING THAT YOUR HIGH BEAMS DID NOT COME ON. YOU NEED TO ADD A RESISTOR INTO THE CIRCUIT AND THE HIGH BEAM INDICATOR LIGHT (AND YOUR FOG LIGHTS) WILL WORK AGAIN. GET A PLUG AND PLAY UNIT HERE:
    https://www.superbrightleds.com/mot...d-headlight-bulbs-h4-connection-load-resistor
IT PLUGS INTO THE BACK OF THE RIGHT HEADLIGHT HOUSING AND IS AS EASY AS IT GETS. IT CAN BE SECURED WITH SCREWS OR STEEL HOSE CLAMPS TO THE FRAME ABOVE THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY. BE AWARE THAT THE BOX GETS HOT WHEN IN USE, SO KEEP IT FROM TOUCHING PLASTICS.

You can buy new cluster boards as a whole unit. Never thought to try to repair one though. Half of my indicator lights are burned out.

Not sure if they do our trucks but I sent my 2005 Suburban cluster to these guys and they replaced all stepper motors and lights. Give them a call

That circuit board medics might be an attractive option, even if I buy a new (used) cluster for my truck, could repair the old cluster and re-sell it on ebay to recoupe some costs.

    Welcome.
Not trying to be an ass but are you sure its burnt out and just not lighting up due to other lighting upgrades? Sometimes people loose that indicator when they instal LED bulbs in the headlights or fog lights and usually a resistor install brings it back.

Appreciate that insight; nothing ass-ish about it. I never would have thought that that could have been a reason. A prior owner did indeed install LED headlight bulbs. I will have to investigate this possibility.

We've seen some pretty weird shit with LED headlights install, specifically. Lightly illuminated high beam indicator is the one that hangs out in my mind.

You all just saved me a bunch of pointless work. I put HIDs in my 06 Tundra years ago, but only noticed a few months ago that the high-beam indicator light was "burned out". I live in suburbia, so even when I do drive at night I rarely use the high beams. Until I saw this post today, I did not make the connection between the bulbs and the indicator, since that was years ago. Today I was minutes away from pulling out the instrument cluster and trying to determine what kind of LED I need to resolder onto the board when I saw this thread. That would have caused me to waste so much time, and not even fix the problem!

Long story short, I temporarily swapped in some halogens, and the high-beam indicator is back! I will look into the resistor mod. Thank you artsr2002!

@Sturmcrow Welcome to the forum. Grab yourself an H4 resistor and wire it in.

My resistor arrived yesterday and I plugged it into the harness today and we have a high beams indicator again on the cluster. BOOM! Thank you all for pointing me in the right direction, especially Artsr2002
