I've been working on a few things, Ill post some pics and then edit for details once I figure out the upload function.

Replaced the exhaust cat's back. 2.5" into 3", the larger magnaflow muffler in SS 304 to keep sounds down.

Look how pinched down the factory 2.25" pipes are where they merge!!

After I got the SS exhaust in, I've been worried about my catalytic converters growing feet and walking away at night if you know what I mean... Happened to the neighbor's about 6 months back and this thing is easier to get under with two cat's so I did up a CAD file and spent about $240 to get this water-jetted out.

I bought some dimple dies but couldn't fit it all the way in my press to get a couple holes shaped, my first stab at it so need to adjust the file for later.

    cat plate.jpg
    IMG_5853.jpg

Edit: it's 3/16" 5052 aluminum, once I update the file with some design changes I'll share it with the forum. The cost for the sheet without bends was $237CAD from clear cut metals in Calgary, but I should have had them do the bends as my little press didn't really cut it (wasn't wide enough)

I have a short video (movie file) but cant seem to upload. I've installed one of two fog lights with a motor and limit switches so they drop down out of the factory front skid plate and rotate back out of harms way. I've reinforced the skid plate as I've made a couple holes in it. Tested one out the other day and am pretty stoked on the function of it. If anyone can give a hand posting a 10 or so second video let me know.

Thanks, my welder was running crap and my welds look to match, the tip on the whip is separating (musician blaming the instrument - I know..)

Check out the retracting fog light (first one installed of two)

    https://youtu.be/sH0pdkaEA9w

Edit: It does tuck up and out of the way to protect the face from rocks, I;ve added reinforcement to the skid plate to keep from catching on the edges of the opening on the two slots I cut. I may add some rubber sheet to it to protect debris from entering during winter as well.

I was really surprised by how many I saw. It felt like 1 in 15, maybe 1 in 20 vehicles were 1GTs.

I replaced my washer nozzles today. The original ones were corroded. Three years ago I replaced them with crappy aftermarket one size fits none from the auto parts store. They were garbage out of the bag. My guy in our parts department was able to track down two OEM nozzles. One is actually what Toyota calls for on my truck, that’s on the passenger side and the other is from the later first gens and the FJ cruiser. That’s the one I put on the driver side. Allegedly he was only able to track down one of each from Toyota.

I know that it has been discussed here before about the different types of spray. I do like the one on the driver side better than what originally came with the truck.

Hood looks good! You need to wetsand, cut and polish that MF!

Gonna share any spray patterns with us? I wanna see the spray pattern for the FJ one on the driver's side. This thread has pics of what to expect from each: https://www.tundras.com/threads/windshield-washer-nozzles.85304/page-2#post-2157067

Thats interesting you brought up the spray pattern for the FJ. I just watched a YT video the other day where he recommended using the FJ nozzles for a much better spray pattern than our stock ones.

Degreased and scrubbed the donor front clam today, also used a random mesquite twig to help get some of the more caked on grease to release. Once I remove the ADD tube, I can do a better job all around and then do the rear 3rd next. I’ll need to borrow my bushing removal tool and install a ECGS bushing in the front donor

A couple years ago we took a family vacation to SF and Yosemite, and we couldn't believe how many 1GTs there were. After a few hours of astonishment we started counting. By the end of our week trip we had counted well over 400!

Here in Rustlandia I probably see another 1GT every 2-3 weeks.

Spotted another lime green with ladder rack. All ACs today. Probably 8 spotted. Back home I see about the same 10-15.

I see quite a few in ATL, and always give a nod or wave when I can. I typically see half a dozen per week, but I'm also only clocking maybe 20-30 miles per week, so it's not saying much.

Not to place the FGT or any demographic in a box, but it’s always an old bearded man or a Hispanic man driving the ones I see. Guess that makes me an old bearded man.

That ARE bedcover is super rare. Especially being paint matched. Mine was purchased for my truck when it was only a couple months old. I've only ever seen a couple. Did you purchase it?

Did the same upgrade on my Sequoia. I found them on Partsouq.com for $9.71. I use this site alot for oem parts their out of the country. My parts usually ship from Dubai and arrive in a week. Shipping not bad if you purchase a decent lot of parts compared to only one part.
