7B4F3BB3-21B5-4C34-9469-7A1CC7AE29AE.jpg My granddaughter was driving my truck and hit a guy running from the cops because he had no insurance, no drivers license and no current registration. The lower control arm on the passenger side is bent. I’m assuming the steering knuckle is probably bent too. My truck is non-abs. New from Toyota is $600. I’m having trouble finding a non-abs knuckle. The salvage yards are telling me that an abs knuckle will work. Anybody had any experience with this swap?

He turned left in front of her, spun him around twice.

Oh man, that sucks. Welcome to the forum. I'm glad granddaughter is okay. I hate you had to make your first post like this. I know that there is a guy who has done that swap before. I think he had to make a modification. Let me see if I can find it for you.

In your case, being 2wd, I would just leave the sensor in place and roll with it.

^^^ that! Or if there’s no sensor included, then stuff a little round piece of closed cell down the sensor hole in the knuckle about 3/4”. Then fill the rest of the hole to the brim with black flavored RTV. I only say black because it will be the same color as your knuckle.
