Not sure if it's been discussed on here already, but I can't seem to find anything on this topic here or with a google search.
I have a 2023 SR5 that I got about a year ago and one thing that's always bothered me is how low the headlight beams are. I'm not sure if it's just mine or if that's how they're making these new trucks. Driving down a dark street at night, feels like I can't see more than a 100-150 feet in front of me cause the beams are so low. In comparison, my wife's Jeep Wrangler lights up the whole street all the way down. I have to hit the high beams just to achieve a similar effect.
Can they be manually adjusted under the hood?
The adjustment dial inside is already at the highest setting so I know it's not that.

    Headlights too low?

    Top 'em off with this!

    :p

Long-ish Philips screw driver, pop the hood, and adjust them.
I did mine after a leveling kit (were also cutting off way too low), following the usual aiming procedures. Google or search here, I'm sure you'll find the correct distances/height/etc.

Wait a sec. My 21 SR5 has a headlight adjustment inside on the lower dash. You mean you got screwed on towhooks AND headlight adjustment?

They can be adjusted under the dash. As I stated though, it's already at the highest setting, which is 0.
As for towhooks, yes...yes we did.

I plan to eventually. Just found this very odd. Maybe they forgot to adjust them to spec.

Ya. You and EVERY STUPID FORD SUPER DUTY WITH A LEVEL KIT! From the factory, their headlights suck as far as putting light where it’s needed and not putting it where it isn’t needed. Pretty much every single one around me is leveled and not single one adjusted the aim under the hood. Just wait till I get my Bambi lights back on the truck…

Oh, sorry. That was rude of me to thread Jack. @RexKwonDo, how is Darla doing..?

On my 2014 the high beams were bad before my lift and after my lift. I should try a different brand/style bulb. Maybe a LED or something. My inside headlight adjuster no longer works with the headlights I put in. Utube has videos on adjusting headlights. If remember right. One was park 25’ from a wall. Measure from ground to headlight bulb. Go to wall and measure the same and put a strip of tape across on wall at that height. Adjust your headlight to the tape. Driver side should be a tad lower. Because of oncoming traffic.

Check that your dash knob is in fact raising/lowering them (even tho still too low) If it’s not doing anything take it into the dealer. If it is moving them, be sure to set dial to 3 (middle) then adjust manually under the hood to where you like them. That way the knob will give you some adjustment up or down while driving.
*My bad - 3 is the middle position

That’s odd. I’m currently looking at my adjustment dial and it’s on 5 and that sets them to the highest range. 0 is literally 10 feet off the hood. I’m in a 23 SR5 by the way.

Yep, did that when I first got the truck. Thats when I noticed how low the lights were. I'll definitely take a look under the hood though.

I will have to check again but I'm pretty sure that 0 is max height. 10 would be all the way down pointing at the floor

I will try for sure. I can be sitting at a stop light at night time and all I ever light up are the trunks of cars, even smaller ones. The inside of their cabins will be unlit and completely dark. I'm not trying to blind anyone but they should be a bit higher.

My apologies, again, Sensei. I meant Starla. I have seen your ads for your system of tai kwon do that you developed while fighting in the octagon for two seasons. Please do not round house kick me to the face...
