    Hi all, I bought a 2022 6 cylinder 3.5 twin turbo and had 3 exhausts installed in one day. Sounds like a honda civic, is there a specific exhaust I can get to make it sound like a truck? Is it because of the 4 cats? I don't want it loud, just a good sounding exhaust.

    It probably sounds like a v6

    Flowmaster, and then some 50 series, last thing they did was cut off my resonator. I'm thinking I'm gonna just have them put back on the stock exhaust. It is a V6 but I didn't know that would be an issue

    As of now I'm pleased with the CAI by K&N and exhaust by Magna flo,BUT.....I'm readily awaiting the release of HKS and see what the price tag is and what this will offer us of actual HP gains.

    What sort of sound are you hoping a 6 cylinder truck makes? If you are expecting some sort of deep growl like the Gen 2 Tundra's, you aren't going to achieve it.

    The only reason to install new exhaust is for proven hp and torque gains across the entire rpm range. I haven't seen any manufacturers claim any gains, let alone publish dyno numbers.

    If you really need that deep v8 rumble, I guess you could always attempt an LS swap. Let us know how it goes.

    Lots of stuff!
    The other challenge is that the exhaust sound is travelling through the turbos. When I had my TDI, I ran a straight pipe from the turbo to the back. It was surprisingly quiet. It just barked when it started but as soon as the turbo woke up, the sound was great. It sounded like a little Cummins when the turbo got spinning :)

    Gasser turbos are a little different but if you listen to some of the video clips from Dirty Deeds. They make it sound fun. It really comes down to how much you want to hear in the cabin and what about droning? Are you prepared to have some of that going on.

    We have a neighbor with a Camero LS(something) putting out about 800 hp. He did some mods to the exhaust and when he starts it up, he blows out the windows of the adjacent house! Please don't be that guy!

    If you want to experiment, try taking the resonator(s) out first and go from there.

    look at the Magnaflow 19604 Overland series system. I think @TundraTT just put on a new system - now sure of brand or results - update from his choice may help.

    With the little ndt canister on, very tame/clean sounding. Almost stock. Magnaflow does send you a cap that can replace the canister that is supposed to make it louder but I haven’t tried it yet. Here’s a YouTube video of a 22 Tundra owner installing it and driving it with the “louder” option.

    @Chav1

    I did ask Magnaflow if the universal xmod muffler 14009 is the same as the muffler used in the Overland package. They said the 14009 is a 5x8x18" case and the Overland is a 5x11x22" case. They said the 14009 would be a little louder. Both have the NDT option for use. You cannot purchase the Overland muffler without purchase of the entire package. You can purchase the 14009 by itself. Something to consider. GL.

    There’s only so much you can do with a forced induction V6. Dirty Deeds BAMuffler would have my vote
