    2018 SR5 4x4...upgrading from stock wheels, getting a ~3"/1" Bilstein lift/level. Getting Method 305s, 17"

I think I prefer wider vs narrower stance, but not sure if the zero offset will be too much. The difference between 0 and +25 is about .98" I think.

I wanna see that tread edge. Also - if 0 really sticks out far do you get a lot of rocks flying up at the side of the truck when offroading?

Question - how far will the +25 stick out past stock fender with AT 35x12.50s? If it is visible I may be happy enough...plus I think less cutting and chopping with the +25?

Easiest fitment on a tundra would be a 18x9 wheel. The offset is where the wheel sits in relation to the hub so for example if the wheel is 0 offset dived the width by 2 and add .5” so for your circumstance a 17x8.5 with 0 offset is 4.75” backspacing which is the industry standard in the bro runner world with a positive offset you may have issues contacting your tie rod and tire hitting uca/spindle

With the tires I want will I get some hip look with the tires going out past wheel wells with the +25 offset?

It’ll poke out about 1.72”. It’s a good amount. Too much unnecessary chopping with a 0 offset.

I believe it will stick out but the look I imagine your going for youd be better of with a 0 offset. If you look at sites like lsk and mazulla it is the recommended backspacing they do not recommend more than that ie + offset
I do agree that it may slightly require more cutting of bumper and bmc however idk how the clearance would be on the suspension components. I have a spindle on my truck and with a 17x8.5 method 0 offset it’s a cunt hair away from rubbing. I understand the spindle changes the tie rod position making the rubbing a more apparent thing but I feel a positive offset on stock would be similar . I’ll attach a photo. I could be totally wrong here though

LSK and Mazzula require 0 offset because they are long travel kits. I know because that’s what I have. +25 is plenty offset to clear everything on an MT kit. Anything more you’re just creating unnecessary stress on components and clearance issues.

Gotcha I must of misunderstood then. I was under the assumption the offset is more of a clearance issue on suspension components. As the offset is negligible to stress on the suspension +-15mm of offset. I get the more negative there is a leveraging affect on components but I look at it in a sense wheels and tires are doing it any way so what the hell lol. But mitigation as much as possible definitely makes sense Thanks for the heads up badass build btw!

Here is a helpful tool for understanding wheel offset changes
