Ok so I’m installing my Bakflip mx4 this week and want to have everything ready.
What size adapter will I need for the drain hose. I know I need 1/4 for the bed of the truck but what size fits securely in the hose itself ?

Should be able to just push the hose into the bed drain hole. If you have the factory spray on liner you may have to clean out the holes with a drill bit.
    Quoted from the link:
"I installedthe MX4 on my truck & the hoses fit perfectly in the holes of my bed - tight but perfectly
If the spray in bed liner is in the hole - clean in out with a round metal object - like a metal file or a drill bit
Just make the hole as round as possible- hose with MX4 fits tight"
*I see what your asking so my bad, don't they include the fitting? I'll do some more searching....

Yea after seeing pictures of the drain lines, they def won’t fit through the factory drain holes . The holes themselves can’t even get 1/4 drill bit through it.

I don't think there is much of a choice as a 1/4 in adapter is really small and may cause water to back up into the channels. The hole is bigger as the spray in liner does close it up some and remeber the bed is a plastic composite.
    I'll do some more looking.

Thank you ! From what I hear the lines really don’t get that full so the 1/4 may just trickle the water out. Heck, I see a bunch say they don’t even install the hoses

Right, but that's up to you if your not worried about water. I had one on my past truck and it was ok but not perfect as some water always got in. The hose works like a siphon so if you restrict it the channels will over flow with water. Like you other posts just go to a hardware store with you hose and grab some barbs and see what you can make work. Please don't open another post on this I'm waiting for a mod to chim in......
*vacuum line kit would prob work for you?

Thanks for the advice. I’ll check out the vacuum line kit you recommend.
And I thought these worked off my past post. Why would a mod chime in? New and learning the ropes

That part may work for your no drill application as it looks small enough to fit.
    Keep.us posted!

    I definitely will.

I guess I was confused because in some videos, I see the tube being ribbed and wider which definitely won’t fit the hole in my truck but then just watched another video of a 22 tundra and the tube was skinnier, non ribbed which may actually fit. Haha

So I was able to stretch the hole with a screw driver and now the mx4 is installed .

New question….is this normal? The weather stripping appears to be missing on the roof.
