Wiring Pro accessories on non Pro Trucks

    So one of Toyota and VW's big claim to fame is saving money with having platform wide parts. a good example is having the same or similar wiring harness across all tundra's and just plugging in the modules or features for each respective trim level. Example , I'm surprised that the plugs for the tailgate lights, the Heritage grill and the fenders aren't somewhere in the truck and could easily have the lights plugged in (at least in some cases)... i hate the idea of splicing new wiring on a truck.

    has anyone done digging on their truck to see if some of the wiring or harness side are there ?

    the Rave back up light kit is a great example , it plugs between the trailer harness and the wiring to the trailer plug to intercept the reverse light signal - super clean.

    I'd like to do the same with the other Pro bits in the future.

    thoughts ? better yet, pics ?

    Yes and no - ty, i posted in the thread , i'm looking for factory connector info , not t-taps and work arounds.
