I say that jokingly because I've worked for Toyota for 10 years. I'm a MDT tech. Multi year Quality Champion. But for one reason or another the timing just wasn't right to get one. This is a '21 SR5 with the SR5 upgrade package and it's a Trail Edition. Lately I'd had my eye out for a TRD Off Road '18-'21 with under 100K miles at a price I liked. I just couldn't find one to pull the trigger on. Then this week this one shows up in my bay to do a used vehicle inspection on. Needles to say it never made it onto the lot. No TRD. And it's white. And not shiny and chrome. So much for what I expected to buy! Grey, red, maroon, black. But not white. No reason why. I just like color. I wanted what the TRD Off Road brought to the table. But... this one checks a lot of the boxes. I get a large percentage of options I would have got with the TRD. But I just kinda liked how this one is different. The blackout grew on me. You just don't see every other one like this vs just another TRD Off Road (around here). The previous owner has swapped out the grille already. It has less than 50K miles on it and the only complaint I have on it's condition is the tires will need replacing in the next 10-15K or if I find a promotion or sale.

I probably won't go crazy with add-ons. After working on cars/trucks all day mine usually don't see the shop much. 2021 SR5 (3).jpg 20231118_114813.jpg I'd like the auto all up or down switch or switches. Maybe the OE LED headlights & fog lights. Tow mirrors would be nice for pulling an enclosed trailer I have. TRD rear sway bar possibly. I'll swap out the steps for something that fits my big feet better. Other than that we'll see.

Rear sway bar, trd air filter, running boards, sound deadener in doors, upgraded speakers, cargo glide, topper, Roof racks, overland awning.
Definitely get the rear sway bar if you don’t go off roading a lot.
Really helps w sway and tightens up winding roads and helps w towing.
Just upgraded my speakers from OEM audio plus. Wow both $$ well spent

Nice looking truck. Auto up & down x 4 windows is an easy upgrade (search the forum for the cartrimhome sp? Thread)

The OEM LED headlights with @iHacker harness is a must. Best upgrade for our trucks. Enjoy!

I've followed the threads on the LED lights and window switches. Being a Toyota tech all the work is stuff I've been into many times over. Having TIS at my disposal is nice. Prior owner added a sub. I will have to see if I can find the brand. I haven't had much time free since I bought the whale. I do love the model specific info on here. I'll help out and chime in when i can.

I work on Tundra's on an almost daily basis being a Toyota tech. Now I notice the subtle differences that before I might not have.
