My tires still newish since I got them installed around March 2023 but I do have a nail on the sidewall and I did repair it but I got another one and this one looks a little more difficult so I was wondering if I can just replace 2 instead of 4 tires. The reason I ask is as you know the tundra is 4x4 and mostly on rwd mode so I was wondering if it would be safe to get 2 tires instead 4.

Tire tread needs to be within 3/16” of one another (front to back) to run in 4wd for a period of time. It can cause binding issues otherwise and has the potential to damage the drivetrain supposedly (at the transfer case).

Some places have a machine that can remove tread to match the other tires in this situation, then you’re only buying one. Assuming same brand/size. Also a good reason to run a identical spare.

Swap out 2, move the undamaged tire to spare. Should be fine.

But why is this in the 1st gen section? :D
