Well, after being a Compustar customer for 5 Tundras and almost 2 years now of waiting for the COVID excuses to run out, I am now considering a Fortin brand remote start. I spoke with my installer, who said they prefer the Compustar; however, Fortin is compatible with my 22' Hybrid Tundra.

Looking for anyone who has had Fortin installed in their Tundra, Hybrid or otherwise. Experience, problems, range, etc.

    Thanks for any input.

Would these allow the truck to keep running when the doors are opened/unlocked?

fortin LTE 3yr plan that includes gps is only $130 vs drone at $287 for the basic plan + gps. the drone basic w/o gps is still $143 for a 3yr plan.

another issue i might see is the fortin remote start has Bluetooth capability on top of LTE, which opens another avenue for hacking

I have used Fortin's on both my Tundra's with the factory Fob. (I dont need 3mi of range). They have been excellent and never caused any electrical gremlins or never not started the truck. These were both on 2.5 Gens, not 3rds and neither truck has (had) push-button start. I think the push button start is the culprit for keeping things running vs not.

Built in remote start that comes with the truck works pretty good.
Yeah you unlock the doors and it shuts off has to be the most annoying thing.
I get why but allow the doors to unlock and search for the fob. If found keep running.
    Not found, shut down.
