Just bought a brand new 2024 Tundra. Unfortunately I cannot put it in the garage. There’s a lot of electronics in the new Tundra, and was wondering about any suggestions for protection against the heat and cold?

Rodents may be a bigger threat than weather if the vehicle has to stay outside.

I feel your pain. I'm going to have to either lose my beer fridge in garage or build a carport over the driveway. If it were just regular elements I wouldn't worry too much but around here hail(sometimes baseball size) is the real threat.

My truck has never been garaged since I bought it in Decembers of 2021. I live in SW Nevada. My truck has seen 100+ days of 100+ degree weather over that time period and plenty of days below freezing, all outside.

If temperature is your concern, I promise you, the truck isn’t as fragile as you might think. My only “weather protection” is a Covercraft sunshade and whatever % tint is legal here. It’s also just regular ol’ tint. Not the expensive ceramic stuff.

Hopefully that gives you some peace of mind.

Edit: I see this is your first post. Welcome to the forum!

    It's a truck.

If it can't handle the summer and winter, why did you buy it?

    Drive it and enjoy.

Your only worry is salt on the roads. Absolutely nothing else matters.

meh, our 2018 and now 2023 tundra sit outside all year round in ND. from 100F to -30F temps never had an issue, just burn more gas to warm up and melt snow and cool off vehicle in the summer.

I mean zero disrespect when I say this, but you're tripping. My truck lives outside, all of them have, NB Canada. My tundra has been fine outside and shown zero concerns of it.

    Cheers
