Anyone have any issues with doors locking/unlocking while spraying off truck or running it through the car wash?

I recently got back from Ontario & brought home some of their wonderful clay packed soil.
Got out the hose to clean off my mud guards, running boards, doors, etc...
Heard the 'beep-beep' & watched the windows fold in.... my stomach dropped as I still only have ONE KEY & it's inside the truck!
    WTF just happened?!?!
Sprayed the hose around the door handle again, 'beep-beep' & windows folded out.
Quickly grabbed my keys out & consistently repeated this with the hose multiple times.

I took videos on my iphone but can not figure out how to upload videos to this tread.
    Anyone help me with that?

I usually take my vehicles to a car wash where the vehicle is left running, keys in it, driver out... once washed, an attendant jumps in & pulls the vehicle forward where the exterior/interior is wiped down, etc.

Watching this as well. Truck does it when I'm washing it at the car wash, keys in pocket. Haven't thought about it much, but curious why.

My truck does this OVER and OVER and OVER again while washing. I leave the keys in the truck and unlocked now. By doing this, all that happens is I get the annoying beep. If I leave them in my pocket, then the truck Locks itself over and over and the mirrors move each and every time.

While holding lock on your fob, press unlock twice. It turns the proximity feature off and can be turned on by pressing any button. It also helps save on battery life.

This happens to all my cars, even from other manufacturers. I would assume the door handle sensor is a capacitive one so when a lot of water is on it, the capacitance changes it triggering the signal to unlock. Since the fob is nearby, the vehicle unlocks. I usually put my key fob a few feet away on a shelf in the garage and don’t have this problem.

    Lots of stuff!
All the vehicles I have do that including the Tundra.

Those touch sensitive door handles are confused! Maybe if the keys were put a distance away from the vehicle, it wouldn’t trigger the handle lock/unlock.

I took it as the sensor was detecting the water as a "touch". Does the key fob trick mentioned above disable the handle function? Every time I have washed I wonder if there was an easy way to disable the "touch" sensor temporally but had never done my homework.

Disabling the fob only takes seconds, as mentioned above. I do it at the car wash or when washing at home — and every night to prevent thieves from trying to intercept the code and steal the truck. (Vehicle thefts are really high in Ontario). As I understand it, the fob is always transmitting unless you shut it down (Lock-unlock X 2); I heard Lexus fobs go into a sleep mode when at rest to help reduce night-time theft, not sure if Tundra fobs do.
