So I have a 2016 crew max truck , Trying to gain some more power and thought about adding LT’s not sure if I need the 3/4 or 7/8. Not after noise and will try to retain my stock catback , already did the SABM and will possibly add 5.29’s to accommodate my 35’s. I’m doing all of this to help tow my 8k trailer.

Lts are half the price of a SC...ish...I'd buy a SC and tow like a herd of mules!!

Let her breathe with 7/8" if you're insistent on LTs

What @HulkSmurf14 said. If you need more power a supercharger is where you’ll get your money’s worth.

As a fella that has 34” tires and tows a trailer that is approaching 8,000# loaded, I can say you will LOVE 5.29 gears. The best thing I’ve done…

After gears though, you’ll benefit even more from a decent tune to tidy up your fueling and make the transmission perform the way Toyota shoulda done it.

In my opinion, the ROI with gearing and a tune far exceeds headers.

    Which engine do you have?

For headers you may want to contact Keith at Dirty Deeds. I believe he has already done all the testing to get sizing and such down.

Honestly, if you want to tow better, go back to stock size tires and trim some weight out of the trailer if you can.

I'm with @HulkSmurf14. Save and get a blower (if available for your engine)

Headers wont give you that much power and typically is on the big end of engine operation. I've seen dyno's posted around here showing "up to" +50WHP. I think it is more reasonable to get ~+30WHP. If you get bigger tires you pretty much negated each other for net gains.

Sound wise they aren't too bad just cruising but holy hell do they sound like angry demons when you dig into the pedal to get that power, especially if you delete your rear cats. Muffler/resonator will help but it is still loud AF when you get after it.

You'll also have to deal with throwing cat related codes depending on the approach you take. I've seen folks keep their factory cats and reuse them to avoid issues. There are several other fixes like defoulers and tuning.
