Hey everybody, I’m brand new here so forgive me. Also trying to post this quick. One more thing, before you read my solution, please know I’m not someone who is car smart so forgive me.

I simply had an issue I’ve noticed other people have and I may have found a dumb yet simple solution a few moments ago to a very annoying problem.

I have been getting a rattling noise from my driver side window for a while and for some reason the dealer can’t replicate it. I believe I found a solution to the issue (albeit kinda janky and I’m sure someone on the internet will tell me how I screwed up my 60k$ truck that shouldn’t have this issue to begin with)

Get the D shaped weather sealer liner (I’m sure any will work). Tear it in half like my picture. Put it in your window jam at the top (the part your window rolls into when rolling up). Initially if you roll up the window, it will sense something is in the way and roll down. When it rolls down just roll it back up until it goes up (your jamming the liner in there).

Might be temporary, but after a long test drive, I had no rattle whereas before I’d have non stop rattling from a poorly designed or put together window that isn’t set properly or has to much movement allowed.

Only problem I have is the wind noise coming from the front of the window that I think a 3d printed gadget and some 3m tape might help out with…I’ll get back on that one.

I know this isn’t perfect, not even good…but it’s working and I haven’t seen anyone post a solution to the rattle so I figured I’d try and help.
