Thx, I'm going to take it in again.
I complained about this to dealer before but their excuse was they can't do a test drive that fast anywhere around the area (76mph) so can't really help me. Now I learned that same whine happens if I just press gas pedal to 2k rpm in neutral, so that should be easy to show them

Yup. If you can replicate it in neutral then you can show them.

And they'll be like... We got another truck just like yours that makes exactly same noise, so it's normal

It may be normal break in noises. How long have you had it and how many miles on it?

Had it for one year, almost 9k miles.
I didn't have this whining noise in the beginning, it showed up probably around 5k miles

Well, if you've made it another 4k miles since it started I would doubt it's a failing turbo. From my understanding when they start to go they don't hang on for thousands of miles before they die. It could possibly be a leak somewhere with a turbo or wastegate, but that's purely a shot in the dark from some poking about with search engines. The fact that it will do it when the truck is stationary and in neutral puts it squarely on something with the engine, and that's what leads me to think it's part of the turbo system. I'm no mechanic though, and I've never actually even heard one of the new trucks run, so I am just thinking out loud here.
