Engine oil......what's everybody using?

    I have seen two Camry’s purchased brand new in 2002 and one used Pennzoil changed every 7-10k all highway, and one use GTX changed every 3-4K both conventional. Both had to replace valve cover gasket, around 150k and GTX clean as a whistle, Pennzoil one was completely sludge packed under valve cover.

    Conventional or even synthetic blends are not rated for 7-10k OCIs. IMO, I would consider Pennzoil a top-tier oil.

    I let Toyota mechanics change my oil with whatever they want to use and tow a camper with no afrermarket transmission cooler.
