My 2002 Tundra V-8 has a check engine light on and a PO441 code. A vacumn hose from the switching valve to the charcoal cannister occasionally disconnects from the switching valve. This is the hose that has the test port.

Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

I would just do the obvious thing and replace the worn out hose and see if it happens again.

I agree with Bill. Trim the latter 1/2" off the hose. Reattach. Consider a simple clamp, or even a zip-tie.

Of course, P0441 can also be caused by a faulty gas cap, or not tightening the cap down to 1-2 clicks. But given the hose is off ...

    Jack and Shifty,
I replaced the hose that kept coming off the switching valve and have driven 300 miles with no problems. The old hose was cracked and hard at the end.
    I appreciate your help.
    Thank you,
    Ken
