Sorry for the confusion, that was volvo talk. SR meant S60R. It was a built S60R with a manual getting mid 20s; I was responding to the poster who said his S60R got 15s.

    None....
Nope traded the Chevy in at only 8 months old while still under warranty. I'm not going to find out. Funny story I got mad at GM in 2009 and was broke and wanted a reliable car that was good on gas. Got my first Toyota it was a ... Prius. LoL I actually liked it. Over 8 years only 100 bucks in repairs. Did all maintenance myself. After 13 years and two more GM vehicles I came back and bought a Tundra. Biggest reaso why was to buy the most reliable Truck.

Was able to get a pretty good MPG showing tonight. Took a trip to GR to get some supplies for the tundra from The dealership. It was probably 35% highway, 65% back roads. I set the cruise at 80 on the highway and 64 on the back roads. I'm interested to see how this measures at the pump!

I get about 17-19. We typically have a few Toyotas around. At one point I picked up an F150 with the 2.7 ecoboost in 2015 and really enjoyed 24 MPG on the highway. Was actually a great truck until the transmission had to be replaced at 40k. Went back to Toyota and just deal with the mileage.

I do this trip from NYC to Boston all the time. It depends which direction you go. One is mostly downhill while the other direction isn’t. It looks like you didn’t hit any traffic either:) my 21 Tundra was like yours and about 1-2mpg diff the other way.

Mine is close enough. I just bought my 2017 in August. I reset my avg mpg with each fill. So far my gauge has shown 17.6 mpg twice and calculated was 17.1. These are only in-town numbers.
I still drive my 2006 Tundra a lot so I only have 2 fill ups in the 2017.

It's not a competition. I only drive 10k miles a year. I could afford to put bigger tires on the truck but it's my choice to keep it stock.

I added the Fuely to my sig just so that other people know you can get decent MPG if you want. I think that helps resale value for everyone. If you want to put bigger tires on yours that's your choice. If you want better mpg just keep it stock. I think it's just important to have accurate info. But saying they all get 12-14 mpg will kill the resale value for everyone. If you look around most people just keep their trucks stock.

When I was looking for a used Tundra, every one of them with a lift was a pass. Too many problems down the road with them, just for looks.

except for those of us who lift for bigger tires and offroad clearance when that is the primary use for the truck and not towing/Costco?

Not much call for that here in Florida yet so many bro dozers running around. :der: You are likely in the what, 10% of lifted trucks group that off roads often? It seems most new buyers are copying you for some reason.

It is the same in the Harley Davidson motorcycle world. Folks buy a new motorcycle and immediately put on a loud exhaust for "safety" and to make it run right. Everyone keeping up with the Joneses. Human nature to copy I suppose.

Right. I'm just using mine to manage some rental property down near Florida so no off roading or snow, although I wish I did need a 4x4 and was building a cabin up in the mountains.

This morning I was going 10 miles over speed limit and moron in the jacked up Ram had to pass in no passing area like 30 mph over speed limit. I didn't really care as there are so many idiots on the road which is why I drive a huge truck, then rolled up on him at the next stop sign. He then bolted off as fast as he could and turned into the shopping center and parked in the fire lane in front of a Dollar General.

not lifted yet. but i'll be starting a build thread here soon to get ready for spring/summer

live in CO. so mountain biking, hiking, skiing, camping. lots to do and a few inches on the lift and tires adds a lot of peace of mind

but yeah even here there are a lot of lifted negative offset wheel trucks that never get dirty
