My key fob has always worked really far away. Like 100ft plus. Two nights ago I left my driver's side window all the way down during a down pour all night. I woke up the next day and the fob wouldn't unlock the car. It took like 5 presses standing right at the driver door. I dried everything out the best I could. A battery powered fan is still in there facing the drivers seat. But the fob won't work first press anymore. It takes like 3 presses pointing in the window at the steering wheel. I replaced the fob cr2025 battery immediately and it had no effect. I'm curious I'd there is a specific module that could have gotten wet and affected the fob usability? It will not work unless holding it up to the window and aiming it. It won't work at any distance 5ft or further. Thanks.

Probably best to disconnect battery and not use anything till it’s dry.

I found it yesterday. I idled the truck for 2 hrs with the heat on blast and a battery powered fan clamped to the steering wheel. Then left the fan on and it's still running. It's my daily driver so I have to take it to work tomorrow.
