So mine was already a problem, missing a few tabs and had to pop it back in place a couple times a day. Well the car wash decided to just go ahead and rip it completely off….
Has anyone replaced one? I’ve found several places to order from but wondered if y’all recommend any specific vendor. Also, seems like a saw somewhere where people were using better plastic tabs to hold it in place…..

Is the car wash paying for a new one? If so, I would price a new one at my dealership.

I don’t play in car washes that touch my vehicle, have not been in one since the first time it tried one that scratched my black TransAm.

The hood bulges in my opinion are a joke but something that needs attention or you could have a bad day.

I have a Baja Design S8 light in mine and that complicates things way more. I ended up putting an aluminum piece wide enough to fit along the rear edge that contacts the main part of the hood and shaped it to the curve of the hood. Used some gorilla glue all over it to let it bond to the plastic. It has been solid for some years now

yes. Just the basic chrome version. That would be awesome!!
Do you know if just any plastic rivet will work or is there a certain kind I’ll need?

I have no clue, from when I removed it I remember it popping in and being secured by 3x10 or 12 mm bolts. It’s been a while, but like I said you can have it. Message me and I’ll get you a pic of the part to see if you want it.
