I have been doing a lot of research, but haven't really been able to nail down an answer. At what point do you need to look into aftermarket bumpstops to accommodate a lift? I am running 6" up front MaxTrac 3.5" + 2.5" FOX Coilovers up front and Alcan 3" leafs w/Coachbuilder +2 (1.25") shackles in the rear.

I want to ensure that I am accommodating for the increased travel if need be, but I am not sure which route to go or how much taller. Stock w/extensions, Wheelers, Durobumps etc. Or do I even need to extend them to begin with?

You increased travel more than 1.5". Get bump stops, unless you like tacoing your shocks when you bottom out.

I understand that sentiment for sure, but I am curious how long they would need to be compared to the stock? Is there an equation of some kind for proper length?

Sure would love to know the answer to that question... on stock tundra bumpstops are about 2" from frame, on my truck with alcan springs it's 3 1/2" . Should I raise my stops up 1 1/2 to 2 inches???

Ok, I just placed my order for the superbumps. Wheelers is running a veteran’s day sale so seemed like a good reason!
