Love my 23 Tundra but.....

Moved from a 16 TRD PRO only because of comfort. My 2023 is super nice and comfy but the excess of buttons is really frustrating. They should have used Tesla as a template to simplify things.

Why does it ask me if I want to adjust my seat twice each time I get in?

Why wont the radio play what it was on when I got out of the truck the last time?

When I try to make hands free call it tells me my phone isn't connected....my Spotify plays, I can make a call through the google part.

Toyota could have done a lot of things differently but it is what it is. I am sure with time it will get to be less frustrating.

Do a search for seat adjustment message settings. This is a common issue easily fixed.

 

The truck is like your significant other. You married them (bought it) because of the sexual prowess (potential). You become frustrated once the passion have died down and you see the faults. And you ask yourself, “is this what I’m paying for?” You learn to live with the faults (turbo lag, chrome, apps, etc.) because you’re too old to start over (starting a new car payment)

 

Your key needs to be paired with your profile and it will stop asking you if you want to adjust your seat every time. My dad had the same issue with his and the dealership fixed it for him.

 

Seat adjustment, your profile has to be linked through your keyfob. Instructions are on here to correct and its pretty easy.

As for the radio? works pretty good with my iphone. Starts playing where it left off before.

Calls for me, no problem.

 

I am very glad that they did not take notes from tesla on the infotainment. Having dedicated buttons, for items like the HVAC, instead of having it imbedded into the infotainment is a huge plus for me.

This oddly makes too much sense. What if you decide to complicate things further and buy (marry) a side piece?

 

I would really like to have the fart noises. Much more appropriate in a truck.
