Cruise control just went out. Tried a search, but didn’t find anything…maybe because I am a newbie :).

Difficulty on DIY install of new cruise control module or troubleshooting?

    Thanks in advance.

Took the arm and swtich off to see if it was still connected…don’t know if 2007 has a fuse or not…may try to buy a new arm and install.

i've read that this could be a clock spring issue. my airbag light is on and my CC doesn't work but i haven't tried anything

When my 07 Limited Crewmax cruise was bad, it ended up being the Clockspring and the cruise control switch. The shop showed me the pathway that they used to diagnose the issue. The diagnosis definitely would not have been a DIY thing I could ever do, but if you want to gamble and throw the parts cannon on it, either or both of those things are likely the issue.

Appreciate the reply…I started DIY and decided to just stop by the shop and have them check it out. Sounds like a small problem that could turn it not a mess if I started taking the steering wheel and neck apart.

Probably a smart move. I’m an avid DIY guy myself as well, but sometimes you just have to know when to leave it to the pros.
