Last week I traded in my 2022 Army Green SR5 and purchased a 2024 Tundra TRD PRO. Big improvements have been made to the "fit and finish" quality of the Tundra over the past 2 years. No more rattles, wind noise, cracked seat.......everything seems much more solid. The Iforce Max drivetrain is a workhorse!! Still averaging about 20 mpg as I did with my previous Tundra, but the hybrid powertrain prevents any "lag" in the throttle. Also, the curb weight of the truck is over 7,000 pounds!! I can't remember what the weight of the non-hybrid truck was....but I was told that the PRO (and probably all hybrid models) fall into weight class 3. Bought a 7 year 100k platinum warranty.

nice change, i tried to trade in my 22 as well, they would only give me 46k when it was like 6 months old with 3-4k on it, sticker was 56k, I would have done it if they actually matched what kbb said truck was worth 49-51, oh wells

    Congrats!
Now cancel your extended warranty that you got from the dealer and buy it from Jerry at half price. See the extended warranty thread :)

Happy to hear the 24MY Tundras have better fit and finish. What did you get for your trade if you don't mind sharing?

    Holy crap.
Are you sure that's the curb wt and not the GVWR?
That's seems roughly 14-1500 lbs too heavy for a truck like that.

I didn’t spend the money to just swap out stuff.
Huh, if only people would listen about the benefit of the hybrid eliminating "turbo lag" without having to buy and experience it themselves. Glad you are happy with the upgrade. My 23 Pro (May production) has a few QOL issues but overall happy.

"Turbo lag" is a function of ECU maps. You can pay ECU tuner to remap ECU and have instant throttle response. No need in hybrid drivetrain in fact. Remapping will cost MPG :) I did, my old Volvo turbo wagon responds like in old good days when throttle was hard wired to pedal. 13.4 MPG currently. But it gets compliments from Mustang and BMW M3 drivers when they try it.

The truck doesnt weight over 7000 lbs. It might weight a little over 6k which isnt even all that much considering my 2014 F150 without hybrid was 6160 lbs when it was bone stock with nothing in it except a full tank, and there are heavier F150's out there. Ones with 6.2L V8's and higher trims probably push 6400 lbs.

Used car prices are definitely lower than they were even 6 months ago. Can check kbb/edmunds (sp?) to confirm.

Nice truck! Identical to mine other than the predator steps. Really enjoying mine as well.

First offer on my SR5 trade in was $44k. I was able to get them to give me $45k. Also, MSRP on the Pro was $76,450.......sold the truck to me for $74k even. So I got roughly 2500 off MSRP and got them up an extra 1,000 on my trade. Financed for 72 months.....and will keep my eye on interest rates. I will refinance ASAP as I was only able to get 6.99% with a credit score in the 800's. I think the rates will drop by summer of 2024.

Also, I was wrong about the weight. Turns out the curb weight is 6100 pounds. The GVWR is over 7000 pounds.

No!! I had $30,000 in equity on my 2022. I made double payments on that truck while I owned it. I financed roughly 45k for 72 months. I'll continue to make extra payments and refinance ASAP.
