Well I got nowhere today. Bad #6 coil (2nd coil in same cylinder replaced) set me back in doing my errands and I couldn’t even pay a bill when I got to the doc’s office because their system was down.

I’ll have to check the plug tomorrow to see if it’s somewhat fouled. Methinks I may have a leaky injector.

Whens the last time you seafoam'd or mmo'd the fuel tank? Cleaned my jeeps injectors with a can of carb cleaner & 9v battery.

About 1 month ago for the Seafoam and earlier today for Deet (after the problem and replaced coil).

    Need help please.

I bought my kid a car and need the most up-to-date advice on best Toyota dealer or parts source to buy *discounted* OEM Toyota interior parts. I know this is posted on here all the time, but I get conflicting info... plus there've been recent name changes from some of our "usual" favourites, McGeorge --> Ourisman, like that. So, I'm hoping you guys with recent purchases or price comparison research can point me to the right source.

Please tell me where you'd buy the following:

I need to replace the console insert that includes the cup holders. It's got one with a lot of wear of those chrome rimmed cup holder rings but, the POS, er, PO clearly already subbed with a used one, because the original leather interior is black, with dark grey accents, and off-white seats. The part I need to replace is dark navy. So I need to buy black. IMG_7340.jpgIMG_7290.jpg

Here are pics from the underside of the blue part I need to replace: IMG_7398.jpg IMG_7397.jpg
    IMG_7396.jpg

And here are others I found online, so I figure the differences '-30', '-40', '-50' indicate differences in colour. I'm working on figuring out which is the correct part number for black leather:IMG_7289.jpg

If you want to send me the VIN I can put it into my system and see if I can get the color coded part number for you.

2014 Avalon. It's not as ideal as I'd hoped mechanically, working through some things, but the paint is nice and there's a lot of leg room front and back (what he cares about). And I think it'll be fairly safe in a collision, if that happens (my priority). I'm hoping it will be mechanically sound as long as it lasts, but there are a few things I have to throw money at, to dial that in.

Once I find a source for this console piece, I'll start focusing on how to work the deals for new tires....

I think that's a great car for him! Check for used wheels/tire combos. Not as plentiful as for 4runners or tacomas, but still out there.

This guy is asking $4,500 for this "Tacoma Xtracab" which is actually a Tundra. This might be the worst frame hole I've seen yet.

In TN? Do y'all have that kinda rust there, or is that a northern transplant?

    Gotta be a northern transplant.

But hell, with how far gone it is, there's no way it got the frame treatment. It's not safe to drive and a liability to sell. I'd have it towed to a dealership after purchase, have them inspect the frame, and confirm. But then again, no I wouldn't. Not at that price.

I'm guessing it has to be a transplant. Most of TN only sees snow/salt 1-3 times per winter. Some years we get none. But these frames do suck ass.

Usually when you see me post pictures in the snow it's because I went up to the mountains.

wouldn't a frame full of mud hold the water & rust out as well? Yall's seem to have a lot of mudding going on down there.

Yes it could. Noah and I talked about that. But that rust looks way too bad for just mud. Probably spent time up north.

It confused me too! I heard McGeorge closed but it seems they just got bought out and are still slinging cheap parts.

@Sunnier I think you should be fine to order from Ourisman.
