So, just finished a 3 day, NM to Maine road trip. We were pulling a shade over 6k car/trailer combo and about 900 lbs cargo/pax/dogs.

    Some things I noticed:

    1) A WD hitch would've been nice to assist the rear axle weight. Probably would've helped with the sag as well. On an upside, those adjustable headlights are a stroke of genius!

    2) Most of the trip was with Cruise Control on, about 70-75 mph. The cruise did well with the exception of a few long, steep climbs. The engine was typically hanging out in the 1900-2200 rpm range. When it downshifted to 4th, the rpm would increase to roughly 3109-3200. It was around 3200 RPM I noticed something interesting.

If the speed did not increase with the demands, something magical would happen. This roar and beastly sounding exhaust note would appear and a significant boost in the seat was felt. Speed would climb quickly at that point and then the boost was gone.

I'm guessing that's the VVTI kicking in

Some pretty amazing technology in these machines.

Did discover, quite by accident, that this truck will MOVE some decent weight around VERY quickly if you need it to. Quite impressive.

Aside from being a zombie yesterday, all went very well! Going to need new springs, tires, alignment and an oil change after that drive though. FriggIn roads from NY to ME are rough.
