How do I scrub my personal information from this forum

 

Its interesting you bring this up. Recently, I dealt with a female stalker. Someone I have never even had a conversation with, and it sucked. After it was all settled, it made me wonder how she got all this personal info, ie phone number, work number, address, family's phone number etc. I went on google and was surprised at all these sites that offer almost all your info for free. I found out that it is mandated by law these personal information sellers create an easy portal for individuals to use to request their info be removed from their site. It was too late at that point but I went through the first few pages on Google and submitted requests to every site that had me and my wife's info. For almost all of them, there is an immediate response. There may be some smaller sites buried deeper in Google but most people don't search beyond the second page. A lot of them broker info from other sites, there were only about 10 big sites that hold all the info, so it will take a few days or so for Google to stop showing results but it worked. I just checked again, I can't find my name anywhere.

There are companies that offer this service to police officers but they also only do the first few pages. Its so easy, I couldn't see paying for it.

 

It’s my understanding these sites continue to push out personal information.
Lots of monthly services out there like delete me , and a few others. Problem is for every one you do three more pop up. I’d like to completely remove a lot of information.

Another large thing to do is remove phone numbers associated with you along with emails. Those are huge identifiers.

 

Just googled myself and didn't see anything with my info other than my LinkedIn page, which doesn't show all those personal details...
