I have everything installed but the T connectors to the wires for power. The directions do not match my vehicle. The directions call for a connection to a RED wire at pin 18 and a WHITE w/ SILVER DASH wire at pin 9. There isn't any plug that has this combination. I've serched everywhere and I feel like my year Tundra is a unicorn. Can someone give some direction for the connections?

I have a 17 and did mine. Can’t remember where I found the pin out though. I remember it was different than the pin out they gave in the instructions.

I guess I'll have to call Pop & Lock tomorrow. Do you remember how you figured it out?

A pin out is a diagram showing what wire goes to what terminal. Someone else before me discovered it and posted online somewhere. It’s been some time and I can’t remember where I saw it. At the time I found it, I was at work and quickly printed it for later. I looked in my Tundra file and it’s not there. I must have tossed it out after I wired it.

i installed one of these on my 2017 last spring, don't recall locating the correct wires to be a problem. are you sure you're looking in the right spot?
here's a 2017 install video i found super-helpful. not sure if you need it, but i have a copy of my pop & lock instructions as a PDF i can share.

I saw that video and those are not the same color wires on my 17 Tundra which is why I posted this. I think that is a 2020 Tundra in the video. Here is a picture of my wires that don't have a red wire that the instructions call for. I finnaly got to talk a rep from Pop & Lock last night and he told me it should be the Blue with silver dots on it I need to use. He said he has seen this before on other trucks. Just a follow up on my 2017 Tundra SR5 Pop & Lock wire problem. The correct wires for my Tundra are the Blue with the silver dot and the white. The Pop & Lock wires Blue goes to the Blue with silver dot and the Pop & Lock Green goes to the White. Finished it today and it's so nice to have my tailgate lock when I lock the truck! This is definitely a great inexpensive mod for my truck.

Sorry I didn't see your thread previously! I ran into this problem with my 2016 and went by the wire locations instead of colors, and came to the same results you did. Still working great a year later!

Yes sir, just installed my popandlock today and had the same issue. I back probed the wires to find the correct ones which are the same as yours. 2016 Tundra.

We should fill in Pop & Lock to update their instructions!

I'm reserving my comment on that. If this has been happening since 2016 from what I know and they haven't revised their instructions which are only online you can fill in the blanks. I offered to send them a photo of mine and they declined. Is what it is.
