Billet UCA vs Welded

Do the Camburg, Icon and Dirt King Billet UCA offer a significant performance improvement over their welded tubular offerings, or is it just more a of a "premium" product?

It's a big jump from ~$800 to $1,600.

Is anyone brand preferred these days due to their uni-ball or geometry? Lots of updates and offerings anymore.

 

Mostly a premium offering, however most of those billet arms have adjustable heim joints at the frame pivot vs a bushing, and most of those are going to come with a uniball only (except Icon). The same brand UCA should share the same geometry configuration, just a different design/construction. I don't belive Dirt King makes a billet UCA for 07-21 Tundras.

If its mostly a daily driver, we would lean more towards a ball joint design. Icon tubular with Delta Joint has been pretty solid.

Been very happy with the ICON DJ UCA's I have on my 4R.

 

I've had total chaos UCAs which are tubular construction and they worked fine as they were purchased as a means of getting my alignment closer to stock spec. Billet are definitely beefier but unless you're racing i don't see a reason to spend the extra $$$.

Had those on my 1st Gen. Didn't seem like anything to write home about.

 

Yup, they funcion like they should and don't cost a fortune.
