Installed Dasaita head unit and was only getting sound from dash. Found out that there is an amp that powers the door speakers. So found thread that says splice blue wires to power the amp. This worked for the sound, but now the steering controls don’t work. If I unplugged the splice, the steering controls work then there is no power to the amp. I have 2021 non jbl. I’m at wits end. I also tried changing the canbus options but didn’t help.

If you did the full install without knowing you had an amp powering the door speakers, then you weren’t prepared. You post doesn’t have enough information to help. Need to know what equipment you used to install the new radio. If all the factory harnesses were utilized and you used the appropriate wire harness adapter for the radio to match up to the factory plug, it should have included the power turn on for the factory amp.
