Factory 1794 Edition 20” wheels/tires question

Good morning. Noob here, so please feel free to post links to answers already provided to my question.
I’m going to install a little leveling kit on my 2018 for the sole purpose of getting some additional tire clearance. (Not going to do any heavy off-roading just yet) I’ll be throwing a 2.5-3” leveling kit up front, and running the factory 20’s. How much tire (what size) can I stuff underneath her withOUT having to trim anything, and still clear without rubbing? I don’t mind taking off the small mud flaps, but don’t want to need heavy modifications just to clear at full lock.
Someone suggested I look into 305/55r20, and I’ve priced out some Toyo open country r/t trails already. Just don’t want to pull the trigger if I’ll be grinding away at the plastic underneath the tundra. Thoughts? Thanks in advance!

With some very small and easy mod’s, you’ll stuff a 35” tire without trouble.

Without reading a ton, plan to:

Remove little flaps
Mod or remove big flaps
Fold wings on skid plate
Push fender liner a touch.


All of these are silly easy and make all the room you’ll need.

 

You can also shim the front bumper with spacers to push the bumper out 1/2".

 

Nice. That should be easy enough. I work in collision repair so I can handle that fairly easily.

The DIY version is to stuff washers between the 4 bolts on each side. You can see the bolts at the beginning of this video and again at 1:24:
