    Hi from Eugene, Oregon.

Always been a ford guy (family thing), Rangers, F's, however, I'm now looking for a 1st Gen, 2006 (only), Access Cab, 4x4, mileage under or around 100K, clean car fax. A Limited would be nice, however I have found that is a rare thing, so SR5 is OK. I've found a few, however, sellers/dealers were 2 hours away and wouldn't hold for me until I arrived and thus they were sold before I got there. So still looking. Willing to pay a reasonable price, unwilling to pay way above that. Might never find what I'm looking for, so a realignment of thought could happen.

This is a neat forum. Thanks for starting and maintaining a great place. Since finding this I've not been outside. I will need some discipline. But, that can happen later. Now where is the "For Sale" category on the forum...

Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)! It is not really common for members to sell their trucks on the site, though it is OK for them to do so as long as they're established members (>50 posts, not junk posts, other rules apply). But you may get some help finding what you are looking for.

Thanks for the info Bakershack, help is good.

Yes, $20K is about my budget Knabores. The two that got away before I could view them in person were both SR5's, one at $16K, 85K miles and the other at $17K, 87K miles, both what I considered a bargain, as did the actual buyers I suppose. They were sold in less than 24 hours of internet posting with only one photo each. There is a garage queen (looks like they disassembled the entire truck cleaned everything and reassembled) at $27K (they don't negotiate prices, it is what they want, price-wise) and 85K miles which exceeds both my condition and cost. I'd like to find a better then average condition, not a pristine, do not drive me, unit. Several have been found that have been in accidents with around 100K miles (+/- 25K) and under $20K prices. No data on what the accidents were when I asked and car fax doesn't say either. My current credit union does not have a "find me a car" person (which my previous credit union did have), however I just found a business in my area that does that function, so I have an appointment when I get back home. Regarding 2005 vs 2006, from the research available to me the 2006 is regarded as lowest reported repair events of all first gens, followed by 2004, then 2005, then the earlier years (the gap in numbers reported seemed large). I'll recheck that and consider other years. Thanks for the web link to the thread on buying a first generation. That will keep me off the streets and out of the bars for a bit of time. Very helpful, thanks again.

And, to everyone, thanks for the welcome.
This is a neat place on the net.
Lots to learn about first gen tundras.
