Hello from Connecticut

Hello from Southwestern CT. Just picked up a 2014 Tundra SR5 that will be hauling my race bikes back and forth to the track(s). Retiring my 2000 Ford Excursion (v10) track hauler which served me well for the better part of 13 years now (it finally succumbed to rust). Prior to that was a Chevy Suburban 2500 (6.0L) (which also succumbed to rust). Hoping the Tundra can pick up where the Excursion is leaving off.

Here she is:



The undercarriage must have received annual treatment because there's hardly any rust. I plan to continue in that vein. There one minor areas on the bed that has a small rust spot, but going to have my buddy's body shop take care of that.

Not real excited about the red headlights and fog lights. Already have the 2019+ TRD Pro black headlights on order, and reached out to iHacker about the harness. Fog lights are next.

Need center caps for the Vision Black Manx II wheels (any good sources?).

Ordered the driver side grab handle, and it should be here tomorrow.

Going to also do all four auto up/down window switches from Cartrimhome.

Also not real excited about, but find interesting, the dual side exhaust. On the chrome of the tail pipes it is stamped TRD. The exhaust seems to be nicely done, but....

Also not real excited about the grille area. Think I'm going to go with super-white grille surround and hood bulge to match the rest of the truck. Not sure yet which grille, but it will be black.

Tow mirrors are in my future as well.

Almost forgot, also looking to do the RAS leaf springs enhancement HD kit for towing.

Anyway, this site has been a great resource over the past 3-4 weeks, and I'm sure it will continue to be in the future.
