That's awesome. I can't recall who all is down there from over here. I think @Sunnier may be nearby based on prior chatter about my Poway/RB/Escondido years. But I know there's a couple others who I think fondly of who aren't coming to mind. Seems like 2/3 y'all MF are either from TX, AZ, or CA.

I may have missed it, does this need to be picked up locally? If so, I'm happy to grab it for you. I could go through Escondido this Thursday late morning. It won't be a quick solution, but I can Tundra Railroad it to you.
    Those would be a score!

Local pickup only, but I'm not interested, just in process of tidying up the shop and needed another bolt/nut holder, I'm sorting thru another box of old collected fasteners.

Posting it up in case someone local(ish) to Escondido is hunting for a well-priced metal! fastener holder. All the garbage the days, even from the same company (whose name has been bought out, I'm sure) is entirely plastic crap.

I'm slangin' grease after lift. So intending to reclamp.

Cleaned grease sling and grabbed inner CV clamp measurements. In case the info is interesting to anyone else in the future, posting that here. I'd have preferred not to slide under the truck, I'm lazy.

This pertain to Toyota OEM CV Axle 43430-0C010 (434300C010), possibly the rebuild part 43430-0C010-84 (434300C01084).

Inner boot on that part number is 78.4mm and looks to be 7mm wide. Don't knock me on my caliper usage, as much as I wanted to use the other end, the CV boot lip was kicking me out.

I'm hoping to go worm drive clamp, something like what Norma makes, with a rolled edge that won't cut my otherwise nice boots. Knowing my luck if I go Oetiker stylee again, I won't clamp it tight enough and will still slang.

I'm digging thru Norma clamps and they've got a 70-90mm clamp, but the ones I've found are too wide (~9mm). It looks, purely eyeballing based on this pic, like I've only got about 8mm between the hips on the boot, so not sure that'll fly. Anyway, when I find something I'll edit this with a part#. (Edit: Part number for their W4 clamp in 70-90mm and 9mm wide is 01266704080-000-0543)

Bonus info: Here are the larger and smaller clamp measures. I have no intent to replace the smaller, again, just posting this in case another lazy soul knows they're running OEM and needs clamp diameter info...

Happen to have a part number, email receipt, or did you buy in person. Just curious, if you can grab a p/n, I can check specs to see what worked for you and try to find similar.

Thanks for looking! Ok, so you picked up

    5574K24
    5574K16
    5574K22

Funny, on a whim I looked up the part number at Google and got a T4R forum where this exact discussion was coming up, reply from someone named 'tbaygents'. They barfed up specs on the first two, I'm adding the 3rd:

    5574K24 1 Pack 304 SS, Smooth-band Worm-drive Hose Clamp, 3-1/2" To 4-3/8" Clamp Dia Range (~90mm-110mm), 3/8" Band Width
    5574K16 1 Pack 304 SS, Smooth-band Worm-drive Hose Clamp, 1" To 1-5/8" Clamp Dia Range (~20mm-40mm), 3/8" Band Width
    5574K22 1 Pack 304 SS, Smooth-band Worm-drive Hose Clamp, 2-3/4" To 3-1/2" Clamp dia Range (~70mm-90mm), 3/8" Band Width

Clearly larger clamp on inner CV boot would've been MMCarr part 5574K22. 3/8" is around 9.5mm, so slightly wider than the Norma clamps.

Do your clamps fit between the hips on the boot? (if it's not too much to ask, got a pic?)

I’m pretty sure the fit within the hips just fine. In the daylight I’ll try and snap a picky pic

Went to do some maintenance today. Changed the rear diff fluid and finished fluid filming after 6 cans today.

also tried to change the headlights to the Depo’s that I bought from rock auto. Mistake #1 was missing the parts finder by one spot and ordering lights for an AC and I have a DC. Who knows why but they are different for some reason and don’t fit.

mistake #2 was using the box they came in under my oil catch pan and getting oil all over it and now I can’t return them because I test fit them and don’t have the original packaging. Anyone need some lights for an Access cab?

im out in western ky, paducah. Also retorqued the transmission crossmember. Was getting a clunk at accel/stopping and slow turns. The 4 bolts were barely finger tight. Followed the tsb and torqued to 22.1 ft/lb. Hopefully the holes are wallowed and cracked and it holds.

I thought the AC lights didn't have the little corner DRL light? Those Depos look just like my DC lights. Hmm.

Good point. They do look like DC lights. I wonder if they are for a Sequoia.

they look similar but the connector in the back doesn’t fit the trucks connector and there seem to be minor differences in the mounting points. They look almost identical from the front

From a quick glance at different models on Rockauto, the front of the lights is more square on the DC and more sloped on the AC.

You can quarter turn the corner bulb with the connector and it comes out just like the stock lights but the connectors are different and won’t plug into each other maybe I can just get new compatible bulb? I don’t even know what it’s called.

Most people disable that tiny corner bulb anyway. That's the DRL bulb. The main bulb is the same H4. Of course, they might mount but won't work with your hood. The sloping on the inside face is different between AC and DC, see my photochopped pics above. They may not jive with your hood line.

Thanks I’ll probably just end up ordering the correct ones. That’s a $130 fat finger mistake I won’t make again. That’s what I get for ordering on rock auto on my phone.

also I did the rear diff (lsd) with Val olive syn 75w90 that comes with the additive already but has anyone used it and needed more additive? I’ve read a few posts where it seems like some people who used other oils needed more to help with chatter in the rear end. Haven’t driven it yet just curious
