I was driving through PA and stopped at a Sheetz gas station. I bought 87 Octsme but noticed they sold 88 Octane for like 10 or 15 cents cheaper. I couldn’t tell by the pump if it was a different type of fuel so I stayed away from it not knowing if it was flex fuel or something. Is it regular gas?

Its higher ethanol content gas which is what makes it cheaper. 15% ethanol versus 10% or less for the other Octanes.

Thank you. My son goes to Penn State so I’ll be there a bunch. Not worth putting that in the truck I take it?

Usually the owners manual will specify what your truck can use from an ethanol standpoint-or even the gas cap? If it says up to 15% you can use it, not something I would personally do, but I don't believe it would cause any issues.
