That’s personal preference honestly. I have done it many ways:
    1. Centered (my preference because I have ocd and tend to fixate on lines and spatial arrangement.

    2. increased room at the bottom of the tv - if you plan to ever use a center channel speaker or sound bar you might want to give a little more room to accommodate for that.

    3. Install tv almost flush to the mantel - if you don’t foresee putting decorations or anything this can bring the tv closer to a “comfortable” height. I don’t think this would be the way to go with your setup.

The main issue with mouthing above fireplaces is obviously the height and the feeling if you need to crane your neck to look up at the screen. Given the dimensions that you posted I don’t think you’ll have a problem and it will be a comfortable tv watching experience any way you decide.

55 matches the inner lines and 75 the outer. 65 looks off. I’d go 75 for sure.

That couch is sick as hell. I almost bought one and remembered I have pets and kids. No way in hell I’m buying a 12k couch and watch it get destroyed

As promised... So this is an 82" from around 16' away. Seems beautifully huge at first, but really not overwhelming by any means.

    Chicks just don't understand.

I put a Samsung soundbar under the TV, that has two wireless satellite surround speakers and a small sub. (Sitting to the left of the credenza thing)

Fills out the sound better, but not enough that the wife is bothered by it.
