Just bought a new to me TT and it’s about 1k heavier than my old one. The seller said tongue
Weight is about 450 lbs and GVW on the trailer is 6k. I doubt I would ever see 6k as we travel
Very light. Truck is completely stock except for a rear sway bar. Would the RAS HD have any problems with the sway bar or does the sway bar need to be removed. I do tow with a WDH. Kinda new to this towing stuff; appreciate any suggestions and opinions.

RAS should play fine with the swaybar, frankly I'm curious why you think you'd need it with a WDH anyway?

Maybe I got ahead of myself a little bit. I pick up the trailer on Tuesday, maybe I should have waited until I towed it home. Just wanted to be informed in case the sag was more than I wanted. I appreciate the quick response….

I really don't think you'll need it! Fine tune in your WDH and you'll be golden, I'd wager. Doesn't sound like you'll even break much over half towing capacity!

Load the trailer how you will use it before setting WDH up!
Clothes, food, dishes/cookware, water, trailer gear, etc.

With that light of a trailer, id bet lunch that you’ll get all you need from a well adjusted WDH. My personal experience is with a Fastway G2, which manages my 7,200# trailer quite well.

I have friends that use an Equalizer hitch, which looks very similar to my G2 but is available with heavier load bars if needed.

I have installed about 200-250 RAS systems over the last 25 years, 90% on Tundras and Tacoma's. I run an independent Asian/Hybrid specialty shop and am also a Toyota Master technician.

Your Tundra will handle better with the RAS on it. It will help in the wind, bumps, when Semis go by and any situation that you can think of. I have yet to have any customer complaint about the RAS system, except for it raising the rear up!!

    Hope this helps
