Shouldn't fog lights have a dash indicator?

I hardly ever use mine, because I'm NEVER going to remember to turn them off if I don't remember they're on in the first place. Which I can't. LOL

But as far as I know, my dash never had an indicator light for the fogs. Am I missing something?

 

I don't have one in my 2014.
I rarely use mine as well, unless it's bad weather during the day.

Although I have Rigid pod fog lights with amber LEDs that come on with the parking lights.
So I guess I kinda do use them every day/night...

 

You can leave the switch on the stalk in the on position all the time. Turning the headlights on will also activate the fogs, turning off the headlights will also turn the fogs off, even if the fog switch is left on.

 

My 19 has a light, you can see it through the dirt on the bottom right.

 

My 2018 has the dash light when on.

If I remember correctly the 14-17 trucks only have an indicator for headlights on and bright lights on. In 2018 Toyota added a fog lights on indicator to the instrument cluster.

 

So it seems!

I suppose I should just leave the fogs "on" so they come on with the headlights. I've been averse to doing that up until now, but I honestly can't give a good reason. The fogs are no good to me when they're not on, and it almost never gets foggy here anyway.

 

Have LED fogs with clear lenses. They do a good job of lighting the road close up so I just leave them on.

 

My 2018 has a dash light for them. I have them on 24/7 so they come on if the headlights are on. Doesn't hurt anything having them on and makes a difference seeing up close.

 

My 17 doesn't have an indicator, which I agree is a little annoying. I don't use them much right now since they (halogen) are practically useless when the led headlights are on; can barely see them.
