Ok so about a two months ago I started having this issue where I start my truck then it shuts off, and it will keep happening till I let my truck sit for like 10 minutes. Mind you this is random, I’ve gone two weeks and noting happens. Then it drives like noting happened. I thought it could be my battery or my starter or alternator but they are all perfectly fine. I though it could be my key but I don’t think that’s the issue. Maybe some sort of wiring but why would it start fine after 10 minutes. I have a few things hooked up to my battery and they are both light bars. The only other thing I have is a dash cam but that’s plugged into the fuse box. And a after market radio

Mine was the key, switch it up for a while and see if it continues.

I only have one key it was the only one that came with the truck when it was new
And I don’t know how much it costs for a chipped key

Make a new key. Get Techstream and a key blank. Have a locksmith cut the key (cost me $5). Then program it with the software.

Even if it doesn't fix it, it's good to have a spare key and Techstream is useful for other stuff.

This exact thing has happened twice now on my 2007 with 232,000+ on it. I start it up, it runs for a couple seconds and then dies, like someone turned it off. I'll try again same thing. Wait five minutes, it starts up and runs fine. I am leaning toward fuel pump because I have heard some noises coming from the tank area. Once a kind of chattering and the other day some noises almost like a bubbling coming from the tank. It's so intermittent though and I have zero other symptoms, no sputtering, no hesitation, no engine over heating. I'm not sure but my garage guy says he can test the fuel pump and let me know if that is indeed the problem.
