Is this much noise from wiper normal? I’ve taken the truck in three times now for the wiper. The first time was cause the driver side wiper arm was not leveled with the passenger side. I don’t remember it making this much noise before they fix the wiper arm.
It went in second time after leveling the wiper arm and they replaced the driver side wiper cause it was streaking and not clearing windshield.
Third time I took it in for the noise. They said they had another 2022 and it makes same amount noise and they replaced the passenger wiper for “customer satisfaction”. I’m thinking the driver wiper arm may be bent when they adjusted the level.

I’ve driven other trucks, Ram and Chevy. And no other truck has this much noise from wiper. Only had the truck for 2 months now. Don’t want to keep bringing it in and they tell me it’s normal for the tundra.

That's definitely not normal. Take it to another dealership if you can, cause that needs to be fixed.

I happily noticed the other day driving while it was raining how quiet mine was compared to my old canyon. That’s def not normal and don’t let them tell u otherwise

Took the truck into dealer today. They swapped the wiper arm with another 2022 they had and said it still had the noise. And the other truck was just as noisy apparently.

They took a video of both truck making the noise and is sending it in to Toyota. Dealer said it seems like a design issue?

My 22 is completely quiet. Possibly a supplier part issue, but the design seems fine.

Mine was really noisy very similar to yours first few times i used it. Then all of a sudden stopped and is quiet now. I assumed the rubber or whatever material just needed breaking in. I ran the washer fluid a few times thinking the soap or window cleaning solution could help wash off anything causing the wipers to stick. Noise lasted a while though for me. Maybe not until after i hit 500 miles i didnt hear it anymore. I'm in Seattle so I use my wipers alot. Hopefully your noise goes away.

Anyone find out what The cause of the scraping from the wiper motor was?
