I’m newly widowed and am trying to do this on my own, so please be patient with me. I have searched forums high and low and can’t find an exact answer. I need to replace my driver side headlight (broken piece inside the headlight confirmed by mechanic), but would like to have brighter lights so am considering LED bulbs. Is there in all in one headlight (w/out leveling) with LED bulbs that are CAPA or OEM certified that I should buy? If I’m replacing my driver side headlight and replacing the bulbs with LED should I replace the whole headlight on the passenger side, too? My mechanic will be doing the install and I’m saving cost by ordering them myself. Again, sorry for sounding like an idiot… I’m doing this on my own for the 1st time.

Any competent mechanic should be able to replace your broken bulb with led bulbs. Have him chang both otherwise it will irritate you when driving at nite.
You'll have a bright side and a dull looking side if you only change one bulb.

Of course, we have already replaced the bulbs with halogen when they burnt out. The issue now is I need to replace the whole headlight on the drivers side because of a broken part. Therefore, I am asking which headlight people would recommend, and if I should replace both the headlights with a better option for suitable for LED bulbs. Therefore, asking which headlights are the best to purchase. Hope that clarifies! Thanks!

If you're talking about the headlamp assembly, I never seen them sold single. If you just need replace the broken headlamp housing go to eBay or try a local auto salvage. If you want the pair I believe they start at around 200$ for cheaply made units all the way to 600$ for Oem units.
I changed mine a couple times on my 09 Tacoma. I bought the cheaper ones and learned as soon as you receive them ....apply some silicone to the bezel to housing joint. It's easier to do it out the box than 2 years later when you get moisture in one.
