While I was in my ordering and waiting phase of my new truck coming in. I was asking so many people and current TRD Sport owners about lifts. Some even had them installed and wouldn’t respond. So I took the leap and did it anyways. My local Toyota dealer installed it and came out incredible. So yes it can be done. No issues or even questions from the dealer. Swapped out the TRD Sport wheels for 18x9 Fuels and 35x12.5 BFGs. No rubbing. No issues. This is more for all those guys I saw like me asking about Sports and is it able to be lifted with the 3in TRD lift. It can be done. IMG_1155.jpg

I didn’t spend the money to just swap out stuff.
Sport isn't a trim; it's a package. Unless there is something structurally different from SR-SR5-Limited other than the suspension parts themselves, shouldn't be an issue?

Sports came with different suspension bits, shocks and maybe springs are different. Legit concern. Believe it all gets replaced with this lift anyway. AVS, airbag and TRD PRO also have different suspension bits and are on the incompatible list.

Correct. But from what I read and learned...

Sports have a single rate front spring that allows it to be an inch lower. TRD Off Roads have a dual rate spring that help keep it higher.

But correct all the components that might be different...Would be replaced. The rears are identical. No differences.

I dont notice a difference and that is the beauty of it. Feels the same as when it was stock. Now I only drove it stock for 300 miles but still. Best way to put it is it feels the way I would want it to being a factory TRD lift. ZERO complaints and very happy about it. Easily get the most compliments I ever have with any of my cars. And this is car 18 of my life. Could be the color too but we will chalk it up to the complete package.

I would love to see what the components of the lift look like on the truck. Can you take pictures of the shock / spring / axles?

Other threads have indicated that you must change out the axles.
Did you change your black axles to the TRD red ones?

Are you asking me? The TRD lift was done with the components it comes with. No changes. Whatever axles came with it were installed. I don’t have the red ones.

    TundraRod5 - yes I was asking you.
It would be nice to see pics of the installed parts but not necessary.

    Thanks
